Dawn of the Dinosaurs

Dinosaurs have captivated the human race for hundreds of years. Preschool will take a journey into the past to explore these mysterious and fascinating creatures. The children will learn the names of several different types of dinosaurs, what they ate, how they were born, and about the people that study dinosaurs today.

Concepts for the Children to Learn:
* Dinosaurs lived a very long time ago.
* Dinosaurs are extinct.
* Dinosaurs were all different sizes, colors and shapes.
* Dinosaurs ate plants, meat, or both.
* Dinosaurs hatched from eggs.
* People that study dinosaurs are called paleontologists.

Learning Experiences:
* Playing paleontologist in the sensory table.
* Coloring sorting dinosaur spikes.
* Shaping clay into dinosaurs.
* Putting together dinosaur puzzles.
* Putting together a name-a-saurus.

Art Experiences:
* Torn- Paper-Osaurs
* Model Magic Fossils
* Paper Mache Dinosaur Egg

Show & Tell:
Thursday, February 2nd - Please bring in an item that begins with "Dd"
Wednesday, February 8th - Please bring in something that is scaly or old.

* Please check your child's cubby everyday for important information and completed projects. Your children are excited to share their work with you!
* Please remember out field trip to Hoffer's Pet Store on Tuesday, January 31st.
