Water, Water Everywhere

Wet, wonderful water! This week we will be exploring the many properties of water! We will read many books and do lots of fun activities using water, cups, bowls and various measuring tools.

Monday: On your marks…Get set…Go! Today we are racing using ice cubes outside. We will run with our ice cubes from one pool to another.

Tuesday: We are making a fun snack today using graham crackers and cheese. We will be making a boat, although we will not try to find out if it floats!

Wednesday: WATER DAY! Please make sure your child has his/her swimsuit and towel. We will be running through our Elmo sprinkler and swimming in our small pools. Hope for great weather!

Thursday: Field Trip to Algonquin Park! We will leave school at 10:15 and will be arriving back at school around 1:00. We will wade in the wading pool, play on the playground and have a picnic lunch. All parents are welcome to attend, but must drive separately due to limited space on the bus.

Friday: Today we will see how long it takes water to freeze by making our own lemonade pops! How long do you think it will take? We will also play in our water tables with various measuring tools.
