NAEYC Accreditation
We are pleased to announce that St. Francis Children's Center has received news that our accreditation by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) has been renewed. We are currently accredited through February 28, 2009. NAEYC is a stamp of excellence and indicates that we provide a high quality program to children and their families.

In the state of Wisconsin, approximately 9 1/2% of all childcare centers are accredited. St. Francis Children's Center has pursued accreditation for the past decade and was one of the earlier accredited programs in Wisconsin. In the past decade NAEYC has grown as a national organization and nationwide many centers are waiting for accreditation visits. We are looking forward to our continued association with NAEYC and to remaining one of the premier centers in the area.

According to the NAEYC, in accredited programs you'll see:

  • Frequent, positive, warm interactions among teachers and children
  • Inclusive environments
  • Enough adults to respond to individual children
  • Respect for cultural diversity
  • Planned learning activities appropriate to children's age and development
  • Regular, two-way communication with parents, who are welcome visitors at all times.
  • Many varied age-appropriate materials
  • A healthy and safe environment for children
  • Specially trained teachers and directors
  • Nutritious meals and snacks
